The latest incarnation of the HRV is certainly attractively designed, without being over trendy. The HRV offers plenty modern luxury equipment and is well built. Its boot offers 393 litres of space with the seats in the upright position, which can be increased to 1 002 litres with the seats folded down. Prospective buyers will also like the advanced infotainment system with blue tooth phone connectivity, an electronic handbrake, as well as the “keyless entry and go” functions. Although only powered by a 1.5 litre 16 valve I-VTEC engine, the vehicle performs above expectations, while some will also like the advanced 7 speed CVT gearbox that also features paddle shifts behind the steering wheel. It has a combined economy figure of 6.2 litres per 100km is quite decent for a normally aspirated vehicle in this category. The HRV’s safety features included ABS braking with EBD, Brake Assist, Stability Control, as well as front, side and curtain airbags. The Honda HRV certainly ticks a lot of boxes. *The vehicle was supplied to us by Imperial Honda East Rand Mall
